Kaizar Campwala, Jetty’s General Manager, has helped launch and build several media ventures. Prior to Jetty, he co-founded CALmatters, a statehouse reporting organization in Sacramento, and was director of business development and partnerships at Stitcher, a leading podcast platform. Kaizar is a board member at the San Francisco Public Press, and a mentor at the media accelerator Matter.
Graelyn has a master's degree from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism and has reported for American Public Media's Marketplace, Capital Public Radio and Alaska Public Media. She also manages podcast projects for the Berkeley Advanced Media Institute.
Producer and Host of The Take
Imtiaz Tyab is the host of The Take by Al Jazeera. He was previously a correspondent for Al Jazeera English, based across several locations, including Toronto, Islamabad, Jerusalem and Beirut. Imtiaz joined AJE from BBC World television where he was a London-based reporter. Prior to that, he was a Washington, DC correspondent for BBC News and World Service Radio. Imtiaz started his career at the CBC in his native Canada and in his career has reported extensively from across North America, the United Kingdom, continental Europe, South Asia, and the Middle East.
Morgan Waters joined Al Jazeera in 2005, as part of Doha's launch team for the network's English language television channel. She reckoned she'd stay in the desert a couple of years. She lasted 13. Morgan is an editor, producer, and team cheerleader. In that order. She is now based in Ottawa, Canada.
Before joining Jetty in Doha, Jasmin was a host and producer of the Al Jazeera podcast The Debrief. An award-winning photographer, she also led AJE’s social video team. Jasmin is half-Egyptian and half-German and has lived in both countries as well as spent time in Southeast Asia. Her work has ranged across the media landscape from radio production in Germany to social media marketing, photography, documentary filmmaking, PR and editorial work for government bodies in the EU.
Raja is the senior producer of the Jetty podcast Game of Our Lives. He comes to Jetty from KALW, where he produced award-winning stories about the Bay Area and created The Bridge, a podcast showcasing the best of the KALW newsroom. Before getting into radio, he helped create Google Trends as a product manager at Google.
Kyana is a writer and multimedia producer from the San Francisco Bay Area. Before joining Jetty to work on Game of Our Lives, she was the producer for the Global Press Passport podcast, and an associate producer on the documentary film Futbolistas 4 Life. She has worked with Global Press, Democracy Now!, AFAR Media, The 1947 Partition Archive and The Rule of Law Guantánamo Bay Oral History Project.
Associate Producer and Operations Chief
Jordan is a writer and podcast producer from North Carolina, where she earned her BA in journalism and anthropology from UNC Chapel Hill. She produces and co-hosts the independent podcast Black Girl Book Club, and co-edits an Oakland-based art magazine. She comes to Jetty from a documentary filmmaking nonprofit, where she managed the public engagement campaign for a nationally broadcast PBS film.
Ian's work has been featured on radio programs and podcasts such as The World, Studio 360, Life of the Law, Women of the Hour, Afropop Worldwide, and BBC’s Cultural Frontline.
Meradith has produced stories for 99% Invisible and PRI's The World. She also worked at Nordic Food Lab in Copenhagen to launch their podcast, Nordic Food Lab Radio. Most recently, she was the lead producer and engineer for OZY Media and their premiere podcast, The Thread.
